After two years of dating, Jeannie Mai and Jeezy married in March 2021 and are expecting their first child together. This is Jeezy’s first marriage and fourth child, while this is Jeannie’s second marriage and first child.

The Background for the Breakdown

Jeezy is a rapper who has been in the industry since 1998. Though his sketchy background is marked by an unstable childhood, drugs, and crime, he has evolved into a respectable rapper, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Jeezy is African-American and was raised in Georgia.

Jeannie is one-fourth of The Real daytime talk show. She began her career as a celebrity make-up artist and stylist and evolved to television as an entertainment reporter and producer by 2005. Jeannie is of Vietnamese and Chinese descent and was raised in California.

Jeezy and Jeannie met on The Real when Jeezy appeared as a guest of the show in 2015 and 2016. At the time, Jeannie was married, and Jeezy was in a relationship.

The Timeline

Jeezy and Jeannie began dating in November 2018 and were an official public couple in August 2019. In March 2020, Jeezy proposed to Jeannie. Due to the pandemic, his original plans to fly her to Vietnam for the proposal were put on hold, so he brought Vietnam to their home for the proposal. In December 2020, Jeezy reportedly pushed the wedding back to 2025. That same month, Jeannie told E.T. that planning a wedding was “not at the top of our lists.” However, the two wed three months later in March 2021. Jeannie reveals in Women’s Health that she got pregnant via IVF about a month before the wedding but miscarried shortly after. She quickly became pregnant again and is now happily sharing the news with the world.
