Now that we have that out of the way, the internet is a buzz today regarding the firing of a white, female, Mississippi news reporter, Barbie Basset, for saying “Fo shizzle, my nizzle,” during a news broadcast. Barbie said this during banter after a segment about Snoop Dogg’s new line of wine.

Charlamagne the God suggests that it may have been a bit overboard to fire Barbie because she may not have known that nizzle is a slang derivative of the n-word, which she cannot use.

How Does Barbie Know Nizzle?

Since Snoop Dogg befriended Martha Stewart, he has become more of a household name to white-female America. The intersection of Snoop Dogg and white women has created a troublesome situation for Barbie. Who is to blame — the news reporter for not doing her research on the terminology or Snoop Dogg for introducing our terminology to Martha’s audience?
