This brought me to tears. It was a loving wake-up call.

We must acknowledge and see and love ourselves with all of our being. Deeply. Deeper than ever before. In spite of the racial climate that has us hurting and harming. In the midst of it. Because it is our right. Our business to do so. And because we deserve to love ourselves beyond measure. Because our love for self can be our lifeline.
