Well, I think men are used to dating "bus drivers" (remember it is not just about the profession) because traditionally men have been the sole provider or main bread winner for the home because women could not work, do not get equal pay, or haven't always been pushed enough to succeed at that level. So, a lot of men prefer a "bus driver" actually.
