You're right; Kamala is expected to be a political figure where Michelle was not asked about such tough political topics all the time - so that made her more likeable. However, Michelle would've still suffered if Barack made political moves we did not like. At times we may not have always agreed with Obama - even after the White House -but we still love us some Michelle!

I'm not sure a comparison of Condoleeza amd Kamala would be accurate since they're not in the same party. However, they both represent that unconventional family life that makes people twist their mouth a bit.
