Social media culture has painted an image that has been normalized and now expected. Everyone doesn't want slicked down edges or a lace front or spider-leg lashes protruding from their eyes. It's fair to want or not want that. I agree, we are hard on each other. We set a standard of beauty based on what we think is okay, but did Simone tell those same women to go get in the gym and lift weights or find their gift and become a multi-millionaire? No, she did not. She stays in her lane and doesn't try to force others into it. However, they criticize what they can cause that's all they can relate to with her is her hair. Its classless and tacky. I would not have even responded to them cause it is so beneath the moment of the day and her life to discuss her hair. It is frustrating when people take such an elevated moment and drain it with their low energy.
