I have an acquaintance who was placed on a DEI board within a few months of his new job and I told him flat out they were using him. There was no way he had the experience in that company for that. Like you, I'm used to being the only one or one of few but its not a bragging point and I don't allow myself to be anyone's token. Good on you for being smart and standing up for yourself!

I didn't realize Floyd's wife is white, but it makes sense. She should've helped him out from the jump.
