I Don’t Think Trump Wants to be President and Never Did
Here’s Why
Donald Trump is saying all the worst things one could possibly say to win any election — from dog catcher to President.
Why?
Because he really doesn’t want the job.
He didn’t want it in 2016.
In 2016, he wanted attention. He wanted a show of money and how it brings power. His money got him the nomination. His team of high-dollar attorneys, fixers, and strategists secured that nomination.
He didn’t expect to win. He anticipated having something he could leverage for his next business move for more money. He didn’t expect it to go as far as it did; thus, he became not only the least qualified but the least prepared President in our nation’s history.
Being the President means having long days, rigorous schedules, and numerous meetings on a plethora of national and international issues on a daily basis. Trump doesn’t want a routine work schedule. He probably has never had that. He has been the dictator of his companies. He hasn’t had to be the smart decision-maker, but the one who paid and intimidated people to do that for him, firing those who didn’t do it correctly like a contestant on Apprentice, which is the same way he ran his Cabinet.
